Deep Local Roots & Real Fiscal Experience
I am running for the Albany Unified School District Board of Education to ensure every student in our community has access to safe, equitable, and high-quality education.
As a parent with two young children at Ocean View Elementary and the Albany Children’s Center, I have a direct, daily stake in the success of our public schools. Over the past two years, I’ve put that commitment into action by serving on the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee and the Ocean View School Site Council. Through these roles, I’ve worked closely with district leaders, teachers, and parents to monitor taxpayer-funded facilities projects and evaluate school-level programs.
In my professional life, I serve as a Vice President of Finance at a healthcare organization. Managing strategic financial planning and setting long-term budgets is what I do every day. I’m running for School Board to bring this proven fiscal oversight and collaborative executive leadership to AUSD—helping us make smart, sustainable decisions that put students first.
Key Priorities for Albany Schools
Here’s how I’ll work to strengthen Albany Unified School District for every student, family, and educator.
Fiscal Oversight on Long-Term Master Planning
-
Ensure every tax dollar, bond fund, and parcel tax is used efficiently to guarantee multi-year financial sustainability.
-
Maintain rigorous, transparent oversight on how district resources and facilities upgrades are prioritized across all schools.
Valuing & Supporting our Educators
-
Regularly engage with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure those on the frontlines of instruction shape board decisions.
-
Advocate for competitive support, resources, and respectful dialogue so Albany continues to attract and retain world-class educators.
Equity & Safe Facilities Across All Campuses
-
Champion equitable resource distribution across all six district campuses—with dedicated focus on our three elementary school sites (Ocean View, Marin, and Cornell).
-
Ensure building facilities are safe, well-maintained, and equipped to serve every student’s specific learning needs.
